Here is the ‘elevator pitch’ (as they called it) or introduction I would have given about myself in undergrad, if I was currently a student. Imagine me standing in front of a college class, shaking of course because I am extremely stage fright, but mustering up the courage to say all of this. Think of the energy of Linguini, the main human character from Ratatouille, saying “LET’S DO THIS THING” bravely then proceeding to be extremely red and awkward in the kitchen (this scene may or may not ironically play through my mind often).
“Hi! My name is Bri, and I am a never-ending stream of creation & wisdom. I am capable of deep and soulful connections. I appreciate gentle change and personal growth over time. I think that belly laughing with others and moments of shared joy are healing. I feel very lucky to heal myself and aid in the healing of others. I love self expression and sharing my inner world with people who are willing to experience it with me. I value my friends as if they were family, and see my family as close friends. Some of my interests include: astrology, art, queerness, mental health, writing, cats, & spirituality.”
The college class in question:
“We literally just asked for a fun fact, but okay.”
(Jokes)
It’s hilarious (and sad) to think about the ways in which inhibition prohibited me, specifically in my undergraduate studies. I believe I actually did have to give an elevator pitch about myself in front of a prospective business fraternity. I thank past Bri for her bravery, despite lowkey having a phobia around public speaking.
MY FUN FACT, COLLEGE CLASS? I GOT ACCEPTED INTO THAT BUSINESS FRATERNITY, even after the world’s most nervous elevator pitch.
Okay, everybody enjoy Sagittarius season. We all did some hard, transformational work during Scorpio season, and deserve the joyful, more lighthearted vibe of Sag now! Blessings!
