Book finished & Ideas on the Horizon

The idea for my poetry book was hatched on February 1st. I sent out the finalized version to twenty different interested readers on the very last day of the month, Feb. 28. As if the project were not satisfying enough, this timeline made it even sweeter! A February passion project. I am proud of myself and other contributors. It was amazing to watch the project culminate from start to finish, and SO many people were generously sweet, supportive, and expressed feelings of inspiration along the way.

Now that the collective poetry book era is over, I’m feeling inspired by new avenues. My Portland timeline may speed up, as I am actively applying to jobs. I’m scrolling Zillow home rentals like a madwoman, hoping to score a two-bedroom in a desirable area. My family is actively looking at an “Annual” frontier airline pass, that would allow them to visit me with extreme financial ease, hence the two bedrooms for frequent visitors.

On top of life shifts, I’m enjoying my current job, especially in the relationship department. My team brings me so much joy on a daily basis and I feel the bonds getting stronger. I also have a Portland trip planned a month from now, in which I’m seeing my favorite artist. I might also try to set up some job interviews (hence the application legwork going on right now).

Life is incredibly dynamic and hopeful. It feels great to have a vision for the future, especially one that incorporates so many of my joys and goals. The fact that my family would be able to visit frequently is both a mental health and social/emotional godsend. Not to mention, my cats would have more space to move about the cabin.

Things are coming together, cosmically and physically. I look forward to returning to my best friend, and going on side quest after side quest. I am also amazed at how in-flow friendship is, with new special people to meet with every chapter. I have mentioned this in past posts, and it proves to be true again and again.

This is late twenties?
